How to Qualify For the HK Prize

The HK prize is awarded to individuals and organizations that contribute to Hong Kong’s development on the global stage. BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE is an award organized by Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation, sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The award aims to reward outstanding scientists in the Greater Bay Area and the research-related institutions set up by higher education institutions in Hong Kong. It is based on peer-reviewed, objective evaluations. The Board of Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation is the highest decision-making body for THE PRIZE. Its roles include reviewing and interpreting the Charter, suggesting important scientific research fields for THE PRIZE, appointing members of the Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team, and verifying and approving the final review results.

Besides cash prize, the winners will get to attend the award ceremony, which is hosted by Hong Kong Academy of Dramatic Arts. The ceremony will be attended by representatives from various government departments, the business community, and local media. Applicants can apply for the award online. They should read the rules and regulations carefully before submitting their applications. Once the application has been submitted, the entrants will receive further instructions via email. In order to be eligible, the applications must be completed in English. The award is open to all Hong Kong residents aged 18 or above.
